i just wanted a taste of the Corps, is there training courses on weekends to prepare civilians?

Possibly depends on where you live but your recruiter is normally more than willing to help you work on physical fitness.

    There might be ex-DS’s or DI’s who offer that type of thing but its not very common. Google is your friend.

    Look up SDI SSGT Nichols. He is a former DI retired Marine who now runs courses for civilians.
