Why is Time Management training so important for college students ?
especially radiography students . I would like some points and maybe and even a short discussion
Time management is important because, for the first time, YOU are in charge of your life. No one is going to call your parents if you don’t go to class. If you’re taking large classes, your absence won’t even be missed. Instead of going to school during fixed hours every day, you may have one class two afternoons a week, another class three mornings a week, etc. You have to get yourself up and going every day and establish a regular routine of class attendance and studying. It’s really easy to get distracted by dorm life — there’s always someone around to talk to and hang out with, to play video games with, etc. Your entire semester grade may depend on a midterm and final (or sometimes just a final exam) and it’s REALLY difficult to do an entire semester’s worth of reading/studying at the last minute if you’ve been slacking off. Time management and personal discipline are two of the most important skills for success in college.

you have to learn how to go to school, study, work, and party all at the same time. so you have to balance out your schedule and be able to maintain good grades and reward yourself. college is no joke no matter what your major is. it is very hard work at times especially time management. you want to get the most out of it since you are paying for it. you don’t want it to be a total waste of your time/money. also i put "rewarding yourself". not saying party till you puke every chance you get, but making time for yourself or "me time". you may not be a party person. you may just want to go on a quick trip or just get some rest.
good luck. i am a full time student and i work full time as well. i have been in college for 1 year now and time management is crucial and trying to have a social life as well!! i continue to perform at an outstanding level at work thru my work reviews and have been on the deans list every quarter since i started. you may have to make sacrifices along the way. what you put into your efforts will show in the end results. that’s what its all about!
