How do I contact CSX or Norfolk Southern about their Conductor Training Programs?

March 2, 2010 - 7:12 am 6 Comments

I see no contact info on their websites for the programs. How do I sign up?

This website will give you information on CSX’s conductor training program:
http://www.csx.com/?fuseaction=careers.conductor

If you go to this website:
https://careers.csx.com/

you can then go to "Create a resume" and it will prompt you for an email address and password, and you can then enter in your details and start a search for positions near you. I know that I looked in here originally, but I only used it to look to see if there was anything in my area. I first responded to a CSX job-wanted ad in the local newspaper.

When you go to do a search, don’t check off anything in Job Categories, just enter in "Conductor" for the search word and openings will appear that you can view and apply for. I only see openings in Richmond, VA at the moment, but check back later and see if any openings are added later.

Is there a regulatory board that certifies Anti Money Laundering training programs?

February 28, 2010 - 10:28 am 1 Comment

I work for a regulatory compliance training company, and we are thinking about developing an Anti Money Laundering course. Is there review process for these training courses or is it caveat emptor?

The United States Secret Service offers this training for businesses to avoid counterfeiting scams and money-laundering.
No regulatory boards..

•The dynamics of various types of relationships between caregivers and care-receivers
•The basics of establishing a supportive environment for the patient
•How to understand and deal with complex emotions that may arise in end-of-life situations

Are there any motorcycle mechanic training programs in the Chicago Area?

February 24, 2010 - 6:37 am 2 Comments

I’m interested in learning the basics of motorcycle repair- I’d like to do track days and maybe try racing, but I don’t have the background at this point. I don’t want to do online classes or just read the manual, I’m nervous about making a mistake and causing damage to the bike (or the rider). Are there any places in northern Illinois that offer hands-on motorcycle mechanic training?

the BEST school in the country to look into is M.M.I. there are two campuses one in phoenix and one in Orlando. check em out online!

When does the next Coast Guard basic training start? Or how often do the basic training programs start?

February 22, 2010 - 9:34 am 4 Comments

I’m wanting to join the Coast Guard. I haven’t talked to a recruiter yet or got any information about it except for what I have looked up on the internet or heard from other people. But I was just curious if I joined today when they soonest I could be shipped out to NJ would be for basic training.

it will depend…the sooner you talk to your recruiter the sooner you can be shipped out..its going to be a wait though since there are so many people trying to join these days..

but go talk to your recruiter so you can get the process started..

i lucked out because im a girl and since less girls join theres more beds open for girl..so im shipping out in july or august and i just started the process a month ago!
