I’ve tried the Navy already. It sucked. There was no leadership training, and the Navy boot camp sucked!
What are the advantages of U.S. Air Force? Please point them out honestly.
What don’t you like in the Air Force? (I hope the answerers are people in the Air Force or people who used to be in the Air Force.) Please tell me the truth extremely honestly.

You mean no specific training formally was given to you or any of your group-mates (in Navy, we called shipmates… don’t know what is called in the Air Force, Airplane-mates? =]) Why did you have nightmates? About the Air Force?
Torstein, what are the 55 major civilian corps? But the time frame you had been in USAF is 1967-71? Can anyone answer me how the living condition given by the Air Force is ?
What if I will not join USAF as an enlisted member because I want to join USAF via ROTC?

They have ALS Airman Leadership School, which is open to anyone E-4 and above.

Also, does anyone know the likelihood these days of going active or reserve after graduating from college? What’s the competition like? I am a fairly decent cadet, PT score is 299, leadership training is an overall high S, but my GPA is about a 2.7

Following graduation and commissioning, all new Officers attend their respective branch Officer Basic Course (OBC), now called Basic Officers Leaders Course (BOLC).

They then may attend a skill school, such as Airborne or Air Assault.

Officers do not attend Basic Training (unless they were prior Service and attended it that way or they enlisted to go to OCS). Nor do Officers attend AIT.

I can not comment on your chances of active duty verses reserve selection, as the needs of the Army change yearly.

Not that hard. The point of such programs is to allow potential canidates a chance to see what the military might be like while at the same time not scaring people away.

such as Air Assault School, Airborne school, cadet feild training, cadet internship program, cadet troop leadership training, northern warefare training, mountain warefare school or ranger challenge?

Why is the ROTC Leadership Training Course for potential officers only 4 weeks while Basic Combat Training for enlisted recruits is 9 weeks?

LTC is no determining factor for much of anything. LTC is basically a recruiting tool to attract candidates who say they want the experience of BCT. Well Basic is exactly that, very basic. LTC is a condensed course that mimics Basic for kids to get a little hard on about the Army before starting ROTC. ROTC has been 3 years long so far for me and I have another year to go, Then I will assess with my class at LDAC get put into a job in the Army, go to Basic Officer Leadership course 2, Then my MOS school, which has been intertwined with BOLC3.

We train several times a week in ROTC on top of a full college class load. I have been to basic and was in the 82nd Airborne Division for 2 years and saw combat with them. Then my career path put me applying for Green-to-Gold ROTC 4 yr Scholarship. Trust me man, Basic was easier.

Hope that answers your question, I think you thought officers got a 4 week LTC party and were sent to lead soldiers in the wars of our nation, and that my friend is very inaccurate. And Inaccuracy in the Army is no good.

DNV do conduct Customized HAZOP Leadership training in India ( many cities) apart from the regular /overview training on HAZOP, HAZID, Barrier safety /Bowtie, BSS etc…

I used to be a liberal but 0bama has converted me to a Conservative. The experiment failed miserably already and Im afraid its only the beginning.
