How can communication help companies to build its brand from inside out ?

April 27, 2010 - 11:34 am 1 Comment

To build a successful brand, a company needs a good communicator to build its brand from inside out. It should have a clear internal communication strategy to help and train its people to have enthusiasm and energy to deal with customer, supplier, regulator, the media and each other.
So internal communication is a useful management tool to companies to grow.

in addition, when communication flow is good inside the company more ideas are generated and more creative approaches are discovered.

Are there schools that offer the same training as those Marketing Firms that train employees from d ground up?

April 23, 2010 - 8:35 am 2 Comments

Are there schools that offer the same training as those Marketing Firms that train qualified applicants from the ground up? I like the training they offer to qualified applicants; marketing, sales, public relations, communications, etc. and they train you face-to-face and you progress at your own pace…priceless. Are there schools that offer the same hands-on approach, face to face training? Less classroom setting, more real life, hands-on training?

It is very difficult for a school to replicate the real world. In the real world training from a company you have a real product or service and real customers and you are learning each day what it takes to be good at sales.

At a school you are probably selling a made up product to classmates or a professor and it simply isn’t the same.

A school can certainly teach you allot about the mechanics of sales, different approaches or techniques, but there is no substitute for selling to a real customer and hearing no occasionally.

What communication channel should I use for this situation?

April 21, 2010 - 8:18 am 2 Comments

As department manager, I wish to inform 4 members of a training session scheduled for 3 weeks from now.

Communication channels include;

a. email
b. instant messaging
c. fax
d. Memo
e. letter
f. Telephome call
g. voice mail message

Please explain your answer

Best way is to email them..but ask them to acknowledge your mail… if you have already informed them and just want to remind them, you can send a memo. Fax can be next option. Letter would take a long time to reach them. Telephone call can be done if its very very urgent. Voice mail and instant messaging are not professional ways of informing something. As a manager you should approach professionally.

Moms who have done Elimination Communication/Infant Potty Training, what are some good resources?

April 17, 2010 - 7:09 am 2 Comments

I’d like to try EC with our baby. Did you start at birth? If not, what age?
Answers from Dads are welcome to, of course. But please no "what’s that" answers, if you don’t know obviously you don’t have the knowledge to answer the question and you can google it.
Collierfamily, you did not answer the question. I didn’t ask for people to tell me not to do it, I’m asking for resources on it. You are totally missing the point, too. It’s not about avoiding accidents or even necessarily getting them completely potty trained earlier, it’s about listening to their cues about going to the bathroom (and if you have kids I’m sure they have little things they did that let you know they were about to drop one) instead of ignoring them and letting them go in their pants. We listen to our children on their needs for feeding and attention long before they can speak, why not waste elimination?

I don’t do EC, but it sounds interesting! The furthest I’ve gotten so far is using cloth diapers. :)
Here are a few links for you. At the bottom of the first one it talks about "late" starters in EC.
