The sport has been tainted by drug scandals, and Deutsche Telecom even pulled its sponsorship of the T-Mobile team in 2007, because of cyclings association with drugs. However, a new team has risen from the ashes of T-Mobile, and in a sport dominated by Europeans, its owned by an American multimillionaire whos determined to do things a little differently.
