is it ok to be paid Rs 500 per hr for giving a 6 hr training prgram to post grad management students in delhi?

February 28, 2010 - 10:28 am 1 Comment

doing this training for an agency. agency paying me only 500 per hr, while it is getting 1500 per hr.. is this the going rate for trainers or is the agency fleecing me??

If what you are saying is that the agency makes 1500 per hour and you make 500 per hour then I would say that is a pretty great percentage. To make 1/3 of what your employer makes an hour is very, very good. Most sales people make 2-3% of what there company makes.

Know where to find a training seminar (U.S.) about running mail order/web store?

February 28, 2010 - 10:28 am 1 Comment

Do you know of a website that lists training seminars that people can attend about operating a mail order/web store? Interested in retail and wholesale. Not interested in online seminars.

I recently started building my own website. And the company I chose has everything I need. I mean everything. It is amazing.

I will refer you to where I came across the advertisement. As I dont want to violate Yahoo’s Rules about solicitation.

Is there a regulatory board that certifies Anti Money Laundering training programs?

February 28, 2010 - 10:28 am 1 Comment

I work for a regulatory compliance training company, and we are thinking about developing an Anti Money Laundering course. Is there review process for these training courses or is it caveat emptor?

The United States Secret Service offers this training for businesses to avoid counterfeiting scams and money-laundering.
No regulatory boards..

What version of microsoft flight sim would help IFR training?

February 28, 2010 - 10:28 am 4 Comments

I would actually not reccomend flight simulator x for IFR, but VFR, because it concentrates more on the look of the world than the plane itself. I would not reccomend microsoft flight sim at all actually for IFR. If you want IFR, go forher something called x-plane. X-plane was created by someone called Austin Meyer, and has graphics no where near MSF (microsoft flight simulator) but simulates the plane much better, It has instruments in the planes that M$ didn’t think they should bother putting in. This gives you a much more realistic IFR experiance. It also concentrates more on how the planes phyisics are. This shows you how to fly more realistic. I have xplane and MSFX and FSX by far has better graphics, but as said before, x-plane is much better with the instrument and plane physics. So if u want VFR training, and u have a good computer, get FSX, but if you want IFR, go with x-plane, which is also much easier on the computer.

How do I start my own service dog training business?

February 28, 2010 - 10:28 am 1 Comment

I mean Legally what stuff would I have to deal with (licences, certificates etc)
I want to train them and sell/place them myself.
Its ok if u cant answer, its kinda hard to

There are no national regulations on service dog trainers, so whatever you need will depend on your state’s laws and regulations. Your state’s attorney general’s office would know. If your state has a human rights commission they would know too. Your state’s secretary of state is probably the one you’ll have to go through for any licenses.

When in doubt about state government, you can always contact your state representative, even by email. They keep a well staffed office to help their constituents (people from their home district whom they serve), and that includes helping them find what they need from the government.

The governor’s office has a similar staff. Seriously. They’re experts at sending you to the right source of information about anything related to state government.

Links for all of these offices can be found on your state’s homepage.

I work with a group who collect and organize various laws related to service dogs and share them with others in a database. The database we use is undergoing a huge overhaul, but the basic resources are still available online, free to anyone (no ads, no registration, nothin’). Some of those resources include information on how to contact state government, for each state in the U.S. so you can go there, click on your state, and get started that way. Findlaw.com has something similar, but is not focused on service dogs. Ours is located at http://www.servicedogcentral.org/content/node/51

How many more training courses do I have to do to get a job or to qualify for Job Seeker’s allowance?

February 28, 2010 - 10:28 am 4 Comments

I am 57, due to retire at 60, have been a fully qualified dental nurse (had to give up due to health problems), re-trained as a secretary and earned my living for over 23 years doing that, drifted into elecronics and spent several years doing that before studying and working in employment law. I also worked in trading standards before being made redundant. At various times I’ve worked in an estate agency, local government, property management, and even stacked shelves in a supermarket, all temporary assignments.
On ’signing on’ for work (Job Seeker Allowance) I’ve been asked if I would be willing to re-train, and if not, why not. As what? plumber, brickie, IT, what for heaven’s sake?

I’m on JSA, and they have never asked me if I’d like to re-train. But they are always changing the rules. Just say "yes", you would be willing to re-train – but don’t say any more than that.
A lot of their questions are loaded, if they can avoid paying you or making life difficult they will.
You have to show them that you are flexible and willing.

how would leadership training improve collaborations?

I think most leaders don’t understand the power of good collaborations. Good training would help them see how they as well as the other partner can benefit.

What interview questions are asked for a Management training job at Enterprise Car Rental?

February 28, 2010 - 10:28 am 3 Comments

I don’t know exactly what they will ask since I’ve never applied there myself.
However, it might be a good idea to be prepared to answer questions that are asked during interviews for other jobs.
Remember, you are competing against other applicants so you have to stand out since they will pick the best person for the job.
They might as questions like:
"What are your strengths and weaknesses?"
"What can you contribute to Enterprise that nobody else can?"
"Why should we hire you?" (someone actually asked me that!)

Good luck on the interview!
